Less than three months later. But with out the foamy milk maker. It would have cost me more to send the machine and fix than replace. This one leaks as well. I was instructed to cut the cord send to the company. Great Coffe maker.
I called the company, they referred me to a company in Pensylvania. Down grade. Looks good on the counter, right up to the part where the water comenced leaking from the bottom. They sent me a new one. Good luck people. Uncontolable water.
I called back to the company.
And on top of it all, it stopped working completely after only 4 months' use. This machine LOOKS nice, but its designers failed to realize that the hot water that flows through the coffee grounds should fall into the MIDDLE of the pile of grounds, not on the edge. Spend your money elsewhere. And the espresso part, while producing decent results, is a royal pain to clean up. I must stop the machine after about 40 seconds to stir the water and grounds to make sure they are all involved in making coffee. Duh.
even though the leak was still there it was nothing like it was. I would have thought an Italian company would get it right. This machine worked so well for us, the frother is amazing and i even used coffee bags and tea bags in the expresso side for capaTino's. We then decided to not remove the bucket since that also caused a leak when put in full. a year later I was surprised there was any water left for coffee. I bought this product after reading the reviews with some trepidation but really wanted a combo coffee maker and this was in my price range.
Having never made my own expresso/cappucino's I had to practice with it since the instruction manual was written for someone who already knew what they were doing. Apparently not.6.1.09 my husband took the machine apart and resealed everything (thank you). So with fingers crossed I bought it. Walmart has better coffee makers and expresso machines and a heckuva lot cheaper. Since we have redone the machine ourselves it has worked flawlessly. It was an amazing product to begin with.
Deep sigh of relief for six months then the water on the counter, not a lot of water, I notified the comapny and was told to send it to a repair center in Philly, on my dime but it was too expensive and i really dont have the time to find something to package and send it.
But I WANTED it to work so badly since the price was so good for all the features it has. Alas, I've owned my DeLonghi BCO130T for four months and will have to toss it out. So to the garbage can it goes ;-( - Now I order a coffee maker, I will pay close attention to the users comments. But bad worksmanship is bad worskmanship. It's leaking all over the place. I have no one to blame but myself, because if you read the reviews, you'll find this problem discussed by users over and over again.
Easy to use, easy to clean, works fast. This Coffee/Espresso combo makes better coffee than most coffee shops I've been to.
